New Sony Bravia tv kd49XH9505

had this for four weeks, suddenly started switching itself on each night between 2-3am. It is not the sky box as we have switched that off but tv still comes on. Not a good start for an expensive tv and very worrying apart from waking us up. Presume something wrong with the software perhaps. Anyone any ideas?

Can you please check if "remote start" is enabled in the settings?

If so - please turn off.

Peter, thanks for your suggestion - can you elaborate on where in settings remote start may be as we can’t find it?

Thanks for your suggestion - have been into the relevant settings and this was switched off so that wasn’t the problem. They have now changed the tv so let’s wait and see.

Hi Peter. Sorry, thought I had replied. Never did find the remote settings and TV was taken back as faulty. Changed it for a 55” Sony and so far no problems. Thanks for your help.
