Will Sony NW A45 Walkman only accept Sony SD cards. I’m trying to use a Samsung 64 gb SD card but it doesn’t recognise the tracks. It has been formatted.

If the inserted microSD card contains a large amount of data, it may take about 10 minutes or longer for the Walkman to update the database.

The Walkman does not recognize a microSD card.

Walkman only can play FAT32 formatted cards is it? or NTFS?

It shows as default ex FAT and will only allow me to change it to NTFS

keep it as exfat and format it with the walkman then it should be good

and what's the system files of the card now? is it exfat? FAT32?

how do you tranfert files?

The files are wav files having used Foobar.

I then copy from laptop to sd card.

better to leave the card in the walkman then copy paste. Why bothering to remove the card then re-inserting it in the walkman?

are you copying the files into the "Music" folder? (required for the walkman to "see" the file)

I’m not given the option of music folder it just shows Walkman. As it happens I can now see the tracks loaded on the Walkman when it’s connected to my laptop, however when I unplug it and search on the Walkman I can’t find them in any of the categories . Where are they? Is it me looking in the wrong place?

show us what's on the card. It must have dedicated forlder added by the walkman and especially a "music" folder. If you don't have it, walkman can't see any music files

Thanks everyone. I stripped it all back and started again. Finally found the music file. Job done.
