Ford Focus 2008 Sony radio

I'm trying to access the phone menu on a Sony radio fitted to a 2008 Ford Focus Titanium so that I can pair my phone to the car. On pressing any of the three phone buttons on the front of the head unit, the display shows "audio muted" and the menu button doesn't respond, whether I press it once or press and hold. I'm at a loss and can only assume that the Bluetooth function isn't integrally built-in and I need to acquire a transmitter/receiver. All and any help greatly received and appreciated. Gaz

Do you know the model number of the audio system or was this one fitted at the factory?
