Does anyone know if it's possible to just play through the folder structure using the Walkman NW-E394?
Right now selecting a folder in 'Normal' mode just plays the folder & selecting one in 'Repeat' mode will just repeat that folder - I was hoping the player would have a mode where upon finishing one folder it would start playing the next (This function has been present in every other MP3 player I have owned).

I'm worried if it's not possible I might have to return the player as it's not really fit for purpose.

Welcome to the Sony Community.

If you mean that songs in the one album can be played, you should be able to change the settings to play all the songs in your Walkman. If you select a song from [Music] and select [All Songs] this should fix the issue.
