Sony BC-WF1000X - Cant connect to iPhone. Left headphone flashing red and blue immediately.

Haven't used the headphones for a few weeks. Never had a problem before.

Now cannot connect via blue tooth to my iPhone.

I have noticed that when I take out the left headphone to press button for seven seconds (to connect) it is already flashing between red and blue. This should not be the case. Not sure how this has happened or how to fix it.

When I try to connect on the phone it states "unsuccessful".

Any help much appreciated.

The earpiece is in pairing mode if it flashes red and blue. If the device still shows up in the list of previously paired devices on your phone, simply delete them from the list and repair as described by the guide.
