Music Centre Not Recognising NWZ-A865

My Walkman has lain unused for some years but I've decided to start using it again. It is recognised by Windows 10, Windows Media Player, VLC Media Player, by the Sony Content Transfer Software, and by the old Media Go software. But not by the Music Centre software, which just says "Connect The Device".

I have checked that all the software and Firmware is "up to date" (huh), changed MSC to MTP, tried two separate cables, 4 different USB ports, gone through this list (https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/digital-music-players-nw-nwz-a-series/nwz-a865/articles/00031477), and still nothing.

And yet no one else seems to have this issue. What am I missing?

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my enquiry. I'm well aware that Media Go has been discontinued. Why else would I be trying to use Music Centre?

Perhaps my original message was not clear?
