WF1000-XM3 L/R Balance fading with iPhone 8 Plus

<LI-SPOILER>On occasion the L/R 'balance' of whatever I am listening to seems to fade from centre to right or centre to left, sometimes until I stop using them, and sometimes it fades back to the centre.

I can fix it momentarily by disconnecting from bluetooth and reconnecting again. However the issue can still come back after several minutes of use.

I am using them with noise cancelling on, maxed out (as I use them in a gym with very loud music on which I do not wish to hear). The noise cancelling remains 100% effective in the left and right earbuds, it's only the audio that fades.

It doesn't appear to be app specific as have used various audio apps on my iPhone, even if I flick between them whilst the problem is being experienced, it doesn't make any difference.

I'd say it happens about 1 out 3 times I use them in the gym. It happened with the 'factory firmware' and still occurs with the recent firmware update released.

Does any one have any ideas please?</LI-SPOILER>

Hi Stoobloo

have you tried the headphones with a different phone? This is the first time I've heard of something like this.

I'd also recommend trying a factory reset: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wf1000xm3/v1/en/contents/TP0002289926.html

Win_88
