i have lost my CD that came with my camera. i have a dcr-hc40e. the spudownload doesn't support my camera and as i have no cd code i cannot download the motion picture browser from the website.

my PC doesn't recognise the camera through ilink and i am tuck for ideas.

please if anyone knows how to help - let me know.

U can use Windows Movie Maker via I link cable which protocol is IEEE1394. On program you go to function chaptering from video device, which is first left in program. On camera set option play-edit.
