Welcome to the forum,
Sometimes I've noticed if you go onto batteries and then back to ac adapter the power management system needs a fiddle. go the the adjust power properties and switch it from adaptive to performance and reboot and switch it back. Get this nifty meter hereto keep tabs on the processor frequency. Best keep you CPU on adaptive as this gives better temperatures and longlife while not effecting performance at all it seems. I don't even know why performance is even there I guess to stop scans slowing??

Nice one TonyBird, you've sorted my problem, i see your point about leeping it on adaptive, i just needed the processor to be running over 1000mhz, so i could play a game,

Cheers
