I am using model PCG-K135S and finding the computer excellent to operate with Windows XP. I am having problems when on web pages opening up new windows. The result often is a harsh beep, a new window attempts to open, but it remains in the original window. This can also apply to thumbnails when I want to see a larger picture. I have up-to-date security and spyware. I have checked all internet settings and made changes where appropriate. Checking the html addresses and comparing them with successful links show no differences. Parental controls are off as there are no children in the house.
Help urgently needed, please.

Graham Carling (Revd)

Welcome to the forum,
Go to the add remove programs in the control panels and on the left you will see XP Componants. In the list of windows componants uncheck the explorer box and click ok. This will uninstall internet explorer. Restart and reinstall. If that doesn't do it then in Nortons click on firewall/configure/programs your and unblock any obvious programs like
Microsoft generic host services. If that doesn't work then reinstall your Nortons completely. Good Luck.
