If this problem is starting to spread to other keys then I suspect a hardware problem with the keyboard. To be sure that it is not operating system related test the keys in a DOS environment – a Win 98 boot disk would be ideal for this purpose.
Are you sure that nothing has been spilt on the keyboard?
You could try using compressed air on the effected keys; otherwise contact support, assuming your notebook is still in the warranty period.

Hello,

Some months ago the up arrow key stopped working on my vaio. I don't know why.

I didn't care much because I could still use the laptop without that key.

The problem is that now the other arrow keys are also starting to fail. Sometimes I have to press 2 or 3 times for it to work.

What is the best solution for this? Should I ask Sony to change the keyboard? How long would they take to do this? Would I have to send the laptop somewhere through mail? or do they have a reparation center in each city?

I have a VGN-A195EP. Thanks for the info.
