wireless home network

hi

i have made a wireless network at home with 3 computers. it all works ok, but for just one problem. all the computers see each other, but the Vaio will not let the other computers access it. it asks for a password. but i never set one up for it. the sony is a Vaio VGN-A115Z. Does sony set a factory set password ?

I've never heard of Sony setting a password for networking. Are you really positive nobody else has set a password? If nobody knows it and you don't mind doing it perhaps you are better off just deleting that network and setting up another one without a password, which is in fact what I did.

It should be the same password you used when you registered the vaio.

Thats odd, normally you set a password for shared folders.
Did you buy it from a retail store?

all sorted. i must stand in the corner with a pointed hat on with the letter D on it for DUMMY. why i here you ask, well i forgot to share the bloody folder.....roflmao.
