PCMCIA card causes system freeze

Hi

I have just bought a A197XP VAIO laptop.

When I insert my Echo Indigo IO PCMCIA audio card the system (mouse, keyboard & processor) freeze.
I have the latest diver installed.

Does anyone know of a problem / solution in this area?

If you have the latest driver I am sure you looked on their support pages and nothing is mentioned about that problem.

Maybe the freeze is caused by a clash with you onboard sound capabilities.

Have you installed the software and told Windows to use the Echo instead of the onboard sound.

Do you boot up with it installed or do you put it in the slot when you are on the desktop?
