If the folder isn't on the recovery disk then (I know this is a pain!) Perform a full recovery using the recovery disk set. Burn the drivers from the drivers folder on drive C: then try reinstalling XP Pro (No guarantees that it'll work though).

The touchpad can normally be deactivated in the BIOS on most notebooks.

And e-support should be renamed no-support.

Hi @ first,
After week's of searching the net for help about my VGN-A115Z, you're my last HOPE.
But before i tell U about my problems let me explain somethings:
1.The first thing i did with my Laptop was to formate it and to install windows xp professional; original there was the home version installed, cause updating from home to prosessional dosen't worked.
2.After installation i tryed to install the drivers, but i couldn't found 'em all @ http://www.vaio-link.com/downloads/downloads.asp?l=en!!
@ next i installed microsoft service pack 2 and some drivers were found and added, but not even all.
I tried to find them @ google but my search was no success.
@ last i wannted to register@ vaio club to use the e-support, but i failed @ log into the e support center!
.(don't know why perhaps i'm to stupid;"hate")
And so i came to the chatroom!
Now my problems:
1.) How to install the drivers for the "massenspeichercontroller"?
2.) How to deactivate the dammed touchpad?

That's it!
hopefully BB

Your recovery DVD should have a folder called drivers on it. Try using those.

eSupport is broke.
