VAIO Laptop SVF15A1M2ES brightness

Windows 8.1 upgraded from supplied 8.0

When I resume from sleep the FN F5/F6 keys don't work (brightness), the only way to get them to work is to reboot which is very annoying.

All drivers are up to date....

Any ideas how to fix this along with why NFC doesn't seem to work either!

Wish I hadn't bought this thing.

I should add that when I press FN and F5/F6 I get the brightness graphic bar appear on the screen, it just doesn't change the brightness.

Solutions (botched though):

1.Launch Task Manager

2.Terminate two tasks

•esrv.exe

•esrv_svc.exe)

3.Delete “sony_acpi_battery_input.dll” Under “C:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Care\ESRV\sony_acpi_battery_input.dll”

4.Restart PC

well that worked for a short while, it's stopped working all togther now, no brightness controls att all and the brightness is maxed out, can hardly look at the screen...

what a piece of junk!

Any ideas how to fix?
