Windows 7 Download Key

After Windows 10 was not compatible with my PC, I decided to downgrade but the PC told me I would need to redownload windows 7.

Today I tried this, inputing my key into the website when I received this message:

"The product key you entered appears to be for software that was pre-installed on a device. Please contact the device manufacturer for software recovery options"

I don't have a disc or anything. All I have is the key which doesn't seem to work. I desperately need help with this.

I have a VPCEH3N6E VAIO.

Hi @AA2000 and welcome to the Community

I'm not quite clear if you installed a Vaio upgrade version of Windows 10

or if you just used a general version. Do you still have any of the Sony / Vaio tools such as Vaio Care?

(Also you say it isn't compatible, but what told you this?)

Your Vaio already has your Windows 7 stored on your hard drive in the revovery area.

You can perform a recovery of the original OS using the Assist button on your PC

when it is off to start Vaio Care Rescue which will lead you through a recovery process.
