I also encounter the speed of 4X burning instead with maximum 8X .. Perhaps the pioneer didn't managed to burn at that speed or i think you have to purchased the SONY branded 8X DVD R in order to activate that 8X speed.. hehe<BR /><BR />By the way, I can burn on 4X about 15 minutes on a DVD R and that's fine with the time on me.. hehe... Didn't happen on 2X speed at the moment.. Try not to burn too much disc in one time..
