Help needed on tv tuner

I bought a sony v3m recently. I read that it alreay has a tv tuner with it but when I connect to sony vaio zone, the search comes up with no channels.

Do I have to buy anything extra or do I need to do any other set up for the computer?

Hi TT2k and welcome.

Just to eliminate the obvious – you have attached an antenna have you?
The reason I ask is that you say that you read that it had a TV tuner, whereas if you had noticed the antenna connector at the rear you should have been certain.
My apologies if I am stating the obvious, but you never know…..

Thank you rich912, I can't believe I never noticed that before. I thought I could just try and connect with my internet and the tv tuner could get free chanels from around the world through the net but I guess it is just for chanels that I already have.
