Hi all Just received my new Vaio laptop which has a web button to load the internet only, so when my laptop is switched off and i press the web button to launch the internet only does my antivirus programme also load or am i unprotected while on the net?

Hi bikeit65.

As you cannot download anything and cannot access the Windows partition using Quick Web Access you do not really need an anti-virus program as a virus cannot install itself on your computer.

Anyway, it would defeat the object of a quick loading browser.

how do you update the browser in this feature.

it`s no longer supported and you can`t download using this so how do you update the browser ?

Any update to QWA would need to come from Sony via a Vaio Software Update.

However, I don't think I have ever seen an update for this feature.
