KD-43XH8196 Casting from Windows 10 laptop.

I am trying to play games from my laptop on my Bravia without having to connect HDMI every time.  I tried the SteamLink App but the picture cuts out briefly every 10 seconds or so.  I tried connecting using the Wifi Direct function without success, and although the advice from Sony is to use the screen mirroring App, I can't find any such App on my TV.  The TV is connected to my home network via ethernet.  My laptop can 'see' the TV as a device but can't connect.  I have connected my laptop via the Wifi Direct Wifi network but still no successful connection.  Any suggestions?

Sony has an article specifically for this. Though I'd really recommend using HDMI instead to avoid latency, especially if you prefer latency-sensitive games (FPS, RTS, etc.).

Hi. Thanks for your response. Unfortunately the article refers to a
screen mirroring App but my model does not have any such App, so it's not
possible to follow these instructions.

You can press Input and select Screen Mirroring as well, the article just lists the "settings path" for all models.
