FS115M PIO Mode

Hi,
for some weeks I experienced read failures with the DVD-drive. The drive doesn't recognize any CD but DVD's.
Now it's getting worse - the total performance has gone down extremely. Looking to the device-manager I can see that both the DW56A and the harddrive run in PIO-mode.

Does the trouble with the DW56A force the bus down?
Will Sony provide a quick hardware-exchange due to all the problems that occur with the DW56A?

Any input will be appreciated.

You can't set it into UDMA? It should run in UDMA2 mode.:smileyconfused:

there is no possibility to set to UDMA-mode.
XP doesnt allow me in the device manager. the option is "set to DMA if available" or "PIO"
Reinstalled the atapi.sys - no result.
must be a hw-issue.
