Hi rakan07
Your notebook has an Intel® Pentium® Processor B980. Although this is based on the Sandy Bridge architecture many of its features are deactivated, including VT. These features cannot be activated. See the following for specifications.

I also have this laptop however i upgraded to an i5 processor, is there anyway to activate Intel VT (from Intel pentium 980 to i5-3250m which is vt compatible)
p.s. I can not find this option in the BIOS neither can i find an update (BIOS is still the same when bought)
Hi Bentomtom,
Bios update R0180D5 is available for your model and is listed under available downloads under Windows 8.

Whether this includes support for VT I don’t know, but the same update is available for similar models that have an i5 processor as standard – e.g. SVE1513V5CB (Middle East & Africa model). I can find no information on the i5-3250m and have no idea which i5 is fitted to the SVE1513V5CB.
