Hi All,
I just bought a Sony Vaio laptop VGN-FJ1S/W in Switzerland and the only language options are French/German/Italian. I don't speak any of these!!!
Any way to get the wholse system in English (including XP, bundled software, drivers etc.)???
Please help
Sadly not, you should really buy a VAIO in the country you understand their language
That doesn't make me too happy!
I know you can make recovery disks that would recover all software and drivers. Can't I just use somebody else's who has the exact same model only in English?

Thanks William,
I do have a legal version of XP. So, can I just format my VAIO, install the english XP but then where do I get all the bundled software/drivers that were pre-installed in the VAIO. As far as I know, they did not provide any CDs.
They're all bundled on the DVD in PAC files or IMG now.
Hi Kee-Lo,
Thanks for all your help in trying to figure this one out for me. It is REALLY appreciated.
I will be trying to re-do my VAIO this weekend, but as I had said, the packaging did not include ANY cd/dvd with it.
Some of the stuff is available at: http://www.vaio-link.com/downloads/preinstalled/preinstalled.asp?l=en&m=2035 but not everything. Is this enough to help me?
The stuff on VAIO Link will be enough if you don't want all the Sony software
