I was wearing a green pullover when I unpacked my new all-in-one. In all the windows 8 tiles, the easy one to test first was the camera. To my surprise I was shown wearing a bright pink pullover. (The light was not bright and it was very grainy.) I have since found that a black material jacket appears bright red. Strangely books and solid objects seem to have the right colour - or near it - (with some having a pink tinge - or a lack of green - but not dramatic).
I have plugged in a USB connected camera and the colours are correct, using the same camera application.
There is no documentation discoverable about the camera app but I discovered that I can change brightness and contrast - with no effect on the colours. (Also that touching the screen takes a photo.)
What is going on? Sony online support have sent me some notes on how it works and told me to use the recovery disk to reset everything. As it has taken me nearly two months to get my applications working - and I cannot see how going back to start will fix the camera I am VERY reluctant to have to reinstall and set up all my applications again.
If you have this computer, please would you try a green pullover, or black material (e.g. National Geographic logo freebee) jacket. Am I alone? Is it a fault? Is there a later driver? (Mine also has a very dark fringe around the top right corner on screen - does anyone share this feature?)
