Trying to roll back to XP on my VGN-NR11Z/S machine

Hi, I am trying to roll back from 7 to XP on my Sony VGN-NR11Z/S machine and I cannot, when I put the XP disk in it says it cannot find the hard disk, when I go into the BIOS the "Advanced" tab is locked down to two options External drive boot and Network boot... any ideas how I can get xp onto this machine

Hi thrownowtout,

This model shipped with Vista so I assume you are using a retail copy of XP?

XP install is not recognising your hard drive because you don’t have the necessary Sata drivers installed and these are not included with the disk you have. Have a look at the following thread for more detail.
