Screen Not Working - Not Waterproof

Hi,

Bought phone of eBay few days ago and used it on holiday in Duabi today in the swimming pool for less than 3 minutes at a depth of under 0.85M.  After taking 2-3 pictures the phone just froze and came to Lock screen and then the touch display did not work.

After taking out of water and leaving phone at the side came back to use and now screen is not turning on.  I have checked and called the phone and it works but restarted it several times and charged it but nothing comes up on screen.

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN AS I WAS TOLD THIS IS WATERPROOF AND I TESTED IT WHICH I WAS SCARED TO DO AND NOW PHONE SCREEN DOES NOT DISPLAY ANYTHING!

Bought Sony Xperia Z3, 1.5 month back. Today I tried its waterproof feature by taking it to the swimming pool. While taking few photos when we tried to operate it. The touch was not working and soon after screen got disappeared.

Why are you selling your mobile with a feature which is not up to.

Its a newly bought mobile and costed me 41000 bugs (INR).

Its actually matter of incredibility for Sony. Need soon reply and solution for this.

My Sony Xperia Z3 just bought it last December from Bahrain and used it in the Philippines last week at the Swimming Pool but after using it for about 30 minutes it doesnt work not swiping and irresponsibe pls advise what to do next.

My Suggestion , Before User Z3 going to test Phone Resist or not, make sure you all make touch block function. because some application you all download will effected with sensitivity glass, with out the applying origin function.

Correct me if you disagree.

I just bought my xperia z3 december last year. As what people said here, I'm also one of those who had been victimized by the "waterproof" illusion that sony claims it to be. We just used it no longer than 3 minutes in the pool (aware of the guidelines) but suddenly the touch screen does not respond at all.. it's totally dissapointing how could a very respectable brand just advertise things just to make sales but simply could not deliver one of the things they had promised..

Even my mobile was not working now after taking a couple of snaps in swiming pool les than 0.5 feet. dont know what to do now !!!

Hi, I got the same problem, test the waterproof in a bowl of water, a few minutes after the test the screen become unresponsive and then completely going blank.. Today I will proceed to send it the service center.. Anyone had sent their phone to Sony? How long it takes to get the replacement? How did Sony respond to this problem? any advise?

Same issue here! I don`t test my unit, it was an accident with a small amount of water... phone seems works but screen black-out! SONY FAILS!
