Hi,
I have KD-49XG8396 and the All 4 app stopped working.
I followed the help guide that comes with the TV and it states i should try deleting and re installing the app. I've deleted it but can't find it in the Google play store to re install it.
Any ideas how I can solve this? I know it comes pre installed but it seems a bit drastic having to factory reset the TV just to install an app.
Thanks
Have you got Youview on or is it Sony's own TV Guide? All4 cant be installed if you dont have Youview on. You should still be able to cast from smartphone etc too.
Hi,
I had similar with BBC iPlayer and what I had to do to get it back is make sure the Sony Select row was switched ON.
It seems these apps are "built in" and not user downloadable if that makes sense...
Hope that's the issue for you.
Thanks.
Got it working. Went to Youview > Players and streamed from there. Once you’ve done this the App appears in Sony select again on the home screen.
I have experienced the same problem too. I have also noticed that all 4 is available via yourview but this limits you to content listing in the yourview guide. It does not allow access to all the content in the All 4 library.
David.
Hi David,
What is the model number of your TV? Is it the exact same model? I think you can also find the app in the Sony select option or the YouView live stream app. Have you tried to disconnect the TV and the router from the mains for a few minutes and give it another try?
Cheers,
Gladio
