Dolby Vision - Brown'ish picture
New 65" XF9005
Android update to Oreo done
Netflix Dolby Vision shows cause the picture to have a brown'ish look, as if there is an opaque film over the screen.
( was the same on the previous formware version )
Should there be a different setting required for DV ? ( I've tried Cinema Pro, Standard & Vivid, but all the same apart from vivid being a bit lighter )

Hi miscofi,
I'll just try to find some answers for you, but someone else in the community might have some ideas in the meantime.
Thanks,
Pascale

Hi miscofi,
Could you take a picture of that and upload it here? I am trying to figure out what this could be.
Cheers,

First pic (sorry about interference on phone camera) a lovely blue bright sky
(old non android Sony netflix app)
Second
Washed out blue grey sky, from Netflix app native to tv, in DV with standard DV settibgs that the signal sets for itself
Surely DV should not be duller than Full HD

Yellowisch (brownisch) tint is usually due to 6500K color temperature (Expert 1 preset) which Dolby Vision uses. Default Standard picture mode for SDR uses Neutral color temperature. Try other color temperatures in advanced picture settings for Dolby Vision if you do not like it.
