No HDMI ports displayed and cant access them.

I have a Bravia TV and trying to connect an NVR to it with HDMI cable. There are no HDMI ports showing in any of the menus?

The first thing you should when asking for advice is to include the full model number of your Sony TV.

What is an NVR?

My Sony TV HDMI port settings are reached via Settings> Channel & Inputs> External Inputs.

Your TV may be something similar.

Best give us a full detailed description of your problem and what you want to achieve, we can't read your mind.

Network Video Recorder?

On which device are none of the HDMI ports showing?

Thanks for your reply. I am trying to connect a Network Video Recorder to an old Bravia TV circa 2007 model no KDL40S2510.  When I connect the NVR with an HDMI lead there is nothing in any of the menus to identify any HDMI ports.

I have had a pc connected using the designated PC port, which works fine.

thanks Keith

Hi @Geordieman

The two HDMI ports are referred to as AV4 & AV5. Make sure that you have your device set to one of the supported resolutions - maximum 1080i (1080p is not supported).

Thank you, I have followed the instructions and still no picture! I have connected to a different monitor and the picture is showing. I have tried AV4 and 5 in the settings?
thanks again

Hey @Geordieman

Do you have any other device that you can try with the TV through the HDMI port and test if it will give you the same result or not?
