Relocating from one country to another, what happens to my Bravia?
I have an Asian Bravia KD-55S8500C eqvuvilant to the Europenan KD-55S8505C (I think?). I will be relocating to Europe and I was wondering if I can update to the, in this case Swedish firmware/European firmware when I get home? If yes how do I do that?

It will depend what part of Asia you're coming from? India? Hong Kong? ...Anywhere that 'inherited' its old broadcast standards and mains voltage from Britain... Good chance it will be OK with the latest European firmware. Elsewhere?
I'd GUESS - and this is just a guess - that you might need a set-top box if the tuner is so different it can't work on the Swedish bands; but then that's often part of the firmware these days.

in any case you won't be able to change the firmware. You have to hope that the standards will be equivalent.

I don't think it will be necessary to change the firmware, because there are the same standards everywhere.

Not everywhere (think about North and South America i.e.) but in most part they are similar
