Hello,
Could Sony Europe please release firmware v112.627.030.1 for the A95L? This firmware provides much needed fixes for problems the set has had since launch 14 months ago (poor Dolby Vision Gradation in dark scenes, eARC sound dropouts, posterisation in some streaming content) as well as promised features such as Voice Zoom 3 and Prime Calibrated Mode.
This has been available in the rest of the world for 3 weeks now and it’s unacceptable that European owners of the A95L are still forced to wait for these much needed fixes and feature updates.
Come on Sony Europe!

Hi @Snowfire Just in case you are not aware, this is a public community forum and not Sony customer services. If you are looking for a response from Sony, I would try Sony Support.
I and others already have and we've had zero response. Sony support is absolutely useless at most things that I pray I never have to deal with them.
I’ve sent the following to the Sony Support contact given above:
I would like to know why this set has not received a firmware update since September in Europe while North America and the rest of the world have received 2 since then, which have included important fixes for Dolby Vision and eARC audio drop-outs. We are now sitting 2 updates behind on 112.607.020.1 compared to North America on 112.628.050.1 and are suffering an inferior user experience as a result.
I am very disappointed that Sony Europe appear to be treating owners of this set as second class citizens and would hope and expect that they remedy this by releasing these firmware updates to European A95L owners, allowing us to have the same user experience as owners in the rest of the world.
As a long term supporter of Sony products, I find that I cannot recommend this TV to friends and family as long as Sony Europe give the appearance of having dropped all support for it.
Let’s see what, if anything, comes of it…
Yep, no way we’re getting updates in 2024 now. Sony clearly treating European A95L customers as second class citizens.
Hi, with respect did you read the full thread?
The point is that Sony promised this particular update for the A95L around summer time 2024. It is all over the internet in professional reviews for information and for perspective buyers. Indeed Sony have updated in other regions around the world except the UK.
I hope your statement does not mean that we in the UK must wait until around summertime 2025 😳
Kind Regards
all European countries have not received this update
@Jonnie1266 I can't confirm that, but from what I noticed that the software updates are usually released around the summertime. However, I believe that releasing software updates is related to the region.
The last bravia 9 software update was released in Europe in December 2024

I think Maggie you need to be made aware that Sony released software updates for several models of TVs over the August/ September period 2024. These updates were found to be faulty causing some functions of the TVs to stop working.
After Sony had been informed of these "bugs" they posted an article addressing the situation and promised to update the software as soon as possible. Three months later in December 2024 they released these updates for all models of affected TVs except the 2023 A95L models,
The original poster in this thread has also made it clear that other Sony regions like America and Canada, Asia have had an update to cure the problems introduced in the previous update and quite sometime before December 2024.
So the basic question is why is Sony UK/ Europe not released an update for the 2023 A95L model.
You can click on the link below to see the status of the December 2024 update roll out if you scroll down to the table you will clearly see that the 2023 A95L series is 'To Be Announced'.
The question is as other regions have already had the update earlier than Dec 2024 has Sony UK/ Europe forgotten to post the new update.
Or is there some problem with the UK/ European spec A95L TVs that it is taking Sonys software engineers so long to provide the new update.
