i have just bought a new Experia E, the text facility worked for 6 hours and failed totally. there is no notification of a recieved message, no tone, no vibration, no incoming log update. BUT the messages have arrived HELP......all settings have been checked

i was ahead of you there. i have refreshed unit s/w i'm now in the process of testing
Take a look in messages settings and check notification vibration and notification.Also,in settings-sounds,make sure you have a default notification and your phone is on normal mode(not vibration nor silent).
Open messages app then open the options then select settings - Check that Notify or new messages in the staus bar is ticked
tryed all that (again) still does not work, rx message no notification
done all that again still no notifications
still no joy...have been at this for 4 hjours yesterday and 2 today

it works fine now but for how long??
