Queries on power management stamina mode icon and sd card size in sony xperia e1

Hi,

I am using sony xperia e1 since for around 6 months, it is my first smartphone and good mobile, i observed occasionally it used to gets stucked and after reboot it works fine.

i have 2 queries:

I have updated to kit kat which sony has given and is working fine, but suddenly power mangament stamina mode icon two hands covering the battery disappeared from the home screen and i tried restarting , deactivating and reactivating the stamina mode, nothing is working to make the icon available, the  stamina mode activation percentage is 100% , low battery mode activation percentage is 20%.

I am unable to find proper solution to this issue, Please provide a fix for this.

Another query is in settings->apps->on sd card (tab) sd card storage is showing the internal storage size of 2 gb , but i have micro sd of 16gb, why the size is not showing sd card size instead the internal storage.

Please advise and provide the fix.

Thanks,

Regards,

karthikram

I can answer you about the STAMINA MODE icon issue. After upgradation you may observe that some icons of your phone have a new look. So, you have also a new-look icon for STAMINA MODE. Look on your battery icon where the battery % is showing and look carefully that a PLUS SIGN (+) is added to the battery icon when your phone is in STAMINA MODE. When you do off the stamina mode then the + SIGN DISAPPEARS. So, just you have a new STAMINA MODE ICON, nothing worse.

I have the same issue with apps on SD card - while the app appears to physically move to the SD card(which can be verified by the free space on the card reducing), the Apps settings menu does indeed show the internal storage as "SD card" storage.

I think it may be an error with Sony's implementation of the apps to SD functionality - and it's causing very irritating issues with being unable to download large apps/games as they can't see the external SD's capacity and throw "insufficient space" errors.

Hopefully there will be a fix for this...

I don't think there is anyway by which u can get back power management stamina symbol. That symbol has gone after the upgrade. In my opinion that symbol doesn't give a good image so good that they removed it.

As far as your other issue is concerned i guess it's a kind of bug in our latest android version. It clearly shows your internal used memory instead of your SD card memory. I hope later on it won't say memory full for your SD card application memory even though it's is not really full.

If Sony is reading these forums then please fix this issue and also the VPN setting getting crashed and most of the bug present.

@SBJ

But the asker is asking for "power management stamina mode" which is different from the normal Stamina mode.

@ Sachin4you,

Both are same,

We manage the battery power by "stamina Mode".

Yes you are right. I have realized it now.

@karthikram
If you are not getting Stamina Mode icon as described by the above person still then there are possibilities that you may have disabled the icon for that go to Settings>Personalization>Status Bar Icons
And see whether Stamina mode is ticked.

Hi,

Thanks for insight on this feature , i am able to understand that after upgrade the two hand sign holding the battery has been replaced by battery with + sign and %, system icons and power mangament stamina mode settings are availbale for me there is no issue on that.

Could you Please advise on Settings->Apps->On SD card (tab) which is showing internal memory size instead of SD card size, i have 16gb sd card, even third party app like clean master are showing, i read about the app in xda forum and i didnt install that.

One more query if you see settings->Storage sd card section only available sd card space is only showing rest like Apps , pictures, videos, audio, dowloads, cache data, Misc space consumed availbale those detailed summary is not availbale.

Please advise or provide a fix for this.

Thanks,

Hi,

I could update in this trail itself not to make too many,

1. As all face in Sony Xperia E1 , i havent used VPN , but after kit kat 4.4.2 update when i click VPN, displaying message as

Unfortunately setting stopped,

2. I have removed extra widget home screen made only 1 , only one icon kept in homescreen but it is getting disappered, i mean after few usage of the app from home screen app icon disappears(automatically getting removed from homescreen).

3. Occasionally i use to use home wi-fi use to connect in guest only , generally in Google chrome modem wi-fi login screen will come , but for few days google chrome wi-fi login screen half the screen filled with black , i mean the password screen , when i touch keyborad is displaying and able to enter pasword and enter.

I cleared the history page , then made to forgot the wi-fi guest connection and re-connected , but no luck.

Expecting some reply or resolution from Sony Support, Please kindly advise.

Thanks,
