Am SERIOUSLY disappointed to have just purchased a new Sony Bravia tv and have had to spend untold hours searching the net to resolve a ‘freezing’ problem that appears to have been known about since 2012!!
After trying all the various combinations I found that the UpArrow on the remote, coupled with Power button on the tv finally activated the Reset routine.
Hopefully this will fix things, but Poor Show on Sony. Time you stopped shopping TVs with such a long standing software bug.

Reset seems to have resolved the problem.
I have only only connected the tv aerial so far (no HDMI leads plugged in yet).
The only other change I originally made was to resequence quite a lot of the channels and deleted the ones I didn’t need. Maybe this caused the problem.
Only time one will tell.
Surfing the various forums it would seem that this problem has been around for years!
All the various reset options solve nothing, and annoyingly Sony don’t seem too bothered about their customer base off.
I like others will never buy another Sony TV again.
