Remove AV input icon from screen

My Bravia KDL-32V2500 is connected to a PS3 via the HDMI on AV5. How do I remove the AV input icon from the top left of the sceeen?

The other on-screen data shows for a few seconds and goes away, only the AV data remains.

I have pressed the i on the remote - no change. I have checked the settings and can find nothing that appears to affect this icon.

I thought it was a button at the top of the remote control that toggles between the input icons? Worst case, just give the call centre a buzz and then can advise.
