cannot switch from stamina to speed mood no light indicator and nvidiageforce7400 don't work

hello i am having problem with my sony vio szexwp/c where when ever i try to switch from stemina to speed mode the light indicator for speed mode dosnt switch on also the nvidiagforce7400 card works as i cant see it even in the display adapters ,i was using windows xp professional ist and was having same problem and now i am using windows 7 32 and havin same problem cn any one tell me please where the problem might be help will be much appreciated thanx

Hi irfan78 and welcome.

The problem is that Speed/Stamina switching requires you to use the Sony provided Intel and nVidia drivers - and Sony do not appear to support Windows 7 on your model and do not provide any drivers for Windows 7.

Sony do support Vista on your model - so you could try the Intel and nVidia Vista drivers provided under the 'Windows Vista' section here: -

However, I am not sure if this driver works with Windows 7.

Thanx for the reply i already tried the above steps and all other functions for my laptop jus works fine after updating all the drivers of windows however my Gforcego7400 NVIDIA card problem still remaned unsolved

when i switch the button to speed mode the computer dont display any box prompting me to restart ,and even i restart it manually the button lights dont switch to speed mode it remains on stemina mode ,i tried installing windows xp from hard drive recovery to see if its windows 7 problem however i fund out that even my graphic card go appear as multiadapters in dispaly in stemina mode but when i switch to speed mode the light and nvidia card didnt worked in short even in xp with all original drivers the laptop isnt goin into speed mode and in windows7 its nt letting me install nvidia gforcego7400 driver

the problem remains please help

Still waiting for some one to Help ...as i am facing same problem in XP that comes originally installed with this laptop its windows XP professional Edition + all factory default drivers installed as i done hard disk based recovery

I am waiting for so long  for the help ....to make it more clear wha i mean by light indicator not changing and nor my computer deducting that its been switched to speed mode i am up loading a recently taken pic ..in this pic the switch is on speed but indicator light of stemina is on and even you reboot ur computer 100000 times  light indicator  stays on stemina
