keyboard problem Sony viao vgn-n31m laptop win 7

Hello,

I can use the keyboard under bios but when i start win7 in dont work anymore.

i can only use a external keyboard.

I have unistalled the drivers and did a reboot but the problem is not solved.

please help.

Hi Filip,

I have not heard of this problem before but would suggest you first try a system restore back to a date that the keyboard did work.

If that does cure the problem the next thing to try is a startup repair. If your model has this facility inbuilt you will be able access the utility by tapping F8 at boot. Otherwise boot with your retail copy of Win 7, choose the language to install,time and currency format, and Keyboard or input method that you'd like to use and then select 'Repair Your Computer'.
