Hello to everybody...I have a problem with the HINGES of the Notebook VAIO VGN-A317M. Because of the hinges the monitor wobbles back and forth nearly two centimeters. There is no counterpoise.
I have the notebook now 8 months. Is that normal with the hinges? I am scared of that the hinges can brake. Sony tells me that is normal with the wobble, but I don`t think so. Had anybody the same problem?
Thanks for every answer!
Adriano
It's not what I would call normal. I would contact Vaio-Link and tell them to pick it up and repair it under warranty.
But VAIO Link tell me that this is in the normal area and not under warranty. And what now???
I can sometimes be difficult to get your message across to the 'support' personnel as often their job is not to help the customer but to minimize returns.
My attitude would be that if it didn't wobble when it was new then it shouldn't wobble now.
I would insist they replace the hinges.
defintly send it back
"My attitude would be that if it didn't wobble when it was new then it shouldn't wobble now." Thats exactly what I told them, I was in Sony Style Store, I called VAIO, I was two times at the repairservice...and everybody told me the same...it`s in the normal area. And what now? 😞
im not sure you should go to the store and ask to see the model you have and then see if it wobbles as much if so it is ok if not go get your vaio and show them by compairing them
It`S a good idea, but at the end they say me definitly the same....it`s normal in this time...that Notebook what we have are new in the store. With Sony it`s not so easy...have you any idea what I can do without Sony? Sony doesn`t want help me, but I have the warranty.
im not sure:smileyconfused:
If you and anybody have any idea....THANKS ...and thanks for every answer nor here.....but please, WRITE WRITE WRITE. I thnik it`s a big problem with Sony. Not only with the hinges!
