Windows 10 installed and updated 

Recently  "Sleep" missing from power options, from all options any ideas please.

I have checked most places, Sleep not even shown in the menu when right click start.

• Did you install Windows 10 using Sony's detailed upgrade instructions?
• Did you upgrade or clean install Windows 10?
• Did you use the Sony VaioUpdate tool during the upgrade?

Windows 10 updated from 7 over a year or two ago.

Last week something strange happened which caused the Sleep option to become unavailable, just before that the screen res changed which meant I had to put it back to 1366. I also noticed to cooling fan seems to be on most of the time, and I wondered if something has happened to the bios, I did have a quick look but could not see anything obvious.

After the problem happened I did the latest  Windows update which did not help.
