This is usually a memory issue. Try to unplug and replug the RAM stick. Good luck. http://imagicon.info/cat/12-13/vbulletin-smile.gif

You could try using the Windows Debugger tool...

The Windows Debugger is one of the primary tools used by Microsoft software developers and support staff to analyze and resolve errors that result in memory dumps, and it's available for you.

The Windows Debugger is a powerful tool with many useful applications, but for this article, we are only interested in its ability to analyze memory dump files generated by blue screen errors to determine the cause of the error.

A step by step guide can be found at http://homehelphub.com/Category/Microsoft-Windows-PC-Queries/11

Hi. We've had this problem before. Sony were adament that it was software but it ended up being the motherboard that had to be changed. I believe to my knowledge (it was a while ago) it was the connection socket for the HDD.

Saying this it could be so many different things. Probably best taking it to a Sony Specialists repairer to get it checked.
