Hi
I got my Xperia Z a week ago, and a few days ago I realised it won't play videos I have taken. It knows they're videos - they're in the video album and they come up with the play button on the video, but when I press it to play it doesn't do anything, the HUD dissappears but that's it. I've taken the videos off onto the computer to see if they play and they do fine, but still not on the phone. It's up to date on updates and I've turned it on and off again and it didn't do anything. Just wondering what anyone suggests? Thanks

that's quite odd, here are few more suggestions
1. backup everything then repair your phone with SUS
or
2. backup everything on your computer and then delete everything on your internal memory and repair your phone with SUS
were this videos taken with the Xperia Z ?
Yeah, I took them at an event on saturday, when I got it I went through the demo vids it had on it and it did the same to them, but at that point I thought nothing of it until I tried my own
are the videos on the SD card or internal memory? if they are on the SD card have you reformat the SD card on the phone or computer? have you disabled any app?
They're all on internal memory, not used the SD card as yet
go to settings > apps > all > album/movies and clear everything
which video player are you using?
That will delete all the images yes? I'll need to copy them to the computer so i dont loose them. The phones own album, I dont want to use an app to view them as it should play them itself
no, it should not delete the pictures and/or videos just any preset settings preferences
Ok, Tried it but it's stayed the same
