How to signout of Gmail account on X10

Hi all..I got new x10 phone...I signed in gmail  given in the phone.

When I connect to my pc and chat on gtalk on my computer..I am getting notifications on my phone ...which i donot want.

and also..I would like to sign out of gmail and gtalk on my Phone..but I could not find any signout option....

Please help me..

I haven't dissappeared I read every post/thread change on the whole Xperia family, over 200 notifications a day plus a similar number over on Android Forums.  I am just being made redundant by some super helpful users who are answering the queries before I get to them.... I have obviously got you well trained - my work here is done, mwahahahaaaaa!!! Seriously tho keep up the good work, this is just what the forum is supposed to be, helping each other out.

as you are talking about gmail maybe you could help me,  i made too many swipe attempts on my patterns, the phone wouldnot allow my fingers to swipe for some reason. anyway i am now in a postion where i have to enter my gmail account it wants username, gmail account i presume and password.  I presume it is the same one i use on line, at least i hope so,  its not accepting this tells me its wrong. any ideas.
