since the last updates norton 360 keeps causing my machine to reboot. Norton support useless, say it's a hardware issue, computer runs fine without 360 installed. how can i check if it is a hardware issue?

Sounds like it is a norton issue indeed, there software does seem to have lots of issues.
What are you looking for? Antivirus, Firewall? Perhaps we can suggest an alternative?
