Sony VAIO FIT 15E SVF1531C5E - BCM43142 wireless network adapter faulty

Hi,  I just had my new Sony Vaio fit laptop delivered today and I cannot use the WIFI at all (I'm aware that other people have had problems with signal drop outs but this seems slightly different).  Its says the BCM43142 wireless network adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related problems.  Could anyone suggest a fix for this?  Many thanks Russ

try a fresh install using the recovery partition. This sounds like it could be an improperly installed driver.

Hi russwebb81 before doing a fresh reinstall you could try downloading & installing the original preinstalled drivers from your Vaio models support site.

I also noticed that there is an WLAN update available so you may want to install that once you have downloaded & reinstalled the original WLAN driver.
